SeiMilano
A “garden city” architectural vision
The Project
The vision behind the innovative SeiMilano project, developed by MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects, was to create a “garden city” that seamlessly integrates architecture into the landscape. The master plan established a park dedicated to sports and leisure, open to the community, and surrounded by offices, residential buildings, and commercial spaces. Fostering a strong sense of community and inclusion, the entire project relies on the permeability of the park, residences, offices, and other functions.
The residential element unfolds along two main axes, featuring a variety of building alignments, rotational plans, and architectural typologies (loggias, terraces, and greenhouses/bow windows) inspired by Milanese Rationalist architecture. Significant attention is given to the common spaces, which were conceived as focal points of community life. Maximum flexibility and usability are ensured by the innovative and versatile access management system, which facilitates optimal management of common areas, mail rooms, and elevators by providing advanced and reliable access management. Not only does the SeiMilano project promote an active lifestyle and a cohesive community, but it also guarantees complete freedom of movement.
